Created for the mature woman - 40 years and older – who is accomplished, experienced, confident, level headed and has made enough mistakes in life, to now make sound, solid, educated decisions. So, shhrug off the slow metabolism, unwanted pounds, and menopause. Instead, incorporate a healthy lifestyle and positive outlook, and you can look as if you've just "walked off the page of a fashion magazine". I'm a living testament!! Follow me as I dress for work every day, and be inspired!!

I really felt like the bag lady today. I had to bring shoes to the cobblers for repair and this Latico bag is my 'go to' overnight/weekender/"toss all my stuff in, and still look cool" bag. Since it was so stuffed with shoes, I put my wallet, etc, into the Mazzini cross body......it worked!
Tip: When wearing dresses in the winter, unless its wool or cashmere, it might not seem so practical - which is why so many opt for trousers/jeans. I recommend either a slip or a slimmer as an undetectable added layer under the dress, so you can be feminine, yet still warm in the winter.
Note: The sleeves on this dress are ridiculously long..........I'm going to shorten them!!
Seems as if everyone’s catching the flu – and I’m trying so hard not to. Begin vegetarian, health conscious, holistic, and the whole nine, I don’t get the flu shot and have been blessed and fortunate enough to have avoided getting sick for the past 10 years or so – and quite honestly, I just wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I did get sick. I guess I better keep doing what I’ve been doing………….. :)
Tip: High waist pants are very flattering on certain body types - usually a medium to long torso wears it well. I suggest wearing a close fitting sweater/top with the high waist pants or skirt for a cleaner silhouette.

Finally! I’m Back!! My IT guy is absolutely incredible and helps me whenever I need him. So, I’ve got Mozilla Fox up and running on my laptop, and I’m back on the blog scene.Since I have quite a few posts, I’ll take it easy on you and just do two at a time until I’m all caught up.
| This is NOT a 'booty' shot - I'm showing the bow/zipper detail on the jeans |
Tip: A down vest is invaluable and so versatile. You get the warmth of a down coat without the bulk. Wearing double layers ie: shirt/blazer or shirt/sweater - compensates for the sleeves - and looks really 'ca-yute'!!
Note: Since it's the beginning of the year and folks are gradually getting into the 'swing of things', my dress style will be a bit more casual - likely through the end of the month.
| Notice how the 'self belt' is tied as a tie? It picks up on the 'masculine' pinstripe. I guess a bow would've been a nice contrast too! |
Tip: Don't always go with the obvious. The silver sweater stripes doesn't mean the jewelry should also only be silver. Play with the metals: gold, silver, copper, bronze..........have fun with it!
Tip II: Horizontal stripes "DO" make you look wider! It's optical, but very relevant, so be mindful.
