Sometimes, I put on an outfit – and it just works……..no effort, very little thought, but it all just comes together. The key is to try to achieve this on the regular. It can be a bit tough, maybe even challenging, but it’s doable.

 duster earrings, Coach black leather gloves,

 black and clear Lucite bangles, 

and a black rayon scarf.

Ms. Aikasha is wearing an a Express lavender cashmere sweater (I added the feathers), a Ms. Aikasha black wool mini skirt, Pollini burgundy leather knee high booths with bronze metal discs and yellow wooden heel, and Maxx New York burgundy pebble grain leather handbag.

This Vakko mandarin collar, gold leather coat is lightly padded so it can be worn three seasons.

Accessories include a natural amethyst necklace and bracelet, tiny pearl earrings, yellow leather gloves and a blackish/brownish sheer silk scarf.

These yellow leather gloves (a gift from my boss's wife) sort of took the "pop of color" to the hilt - I Love them! They also picked up on the  yellow wooden heels on these Pollini  knee-hi leather boots

I have a penchant for hoods. When I started designing clothes, just about everything I made had a hood – except skirts and trousers, lol!!

A burgundy silk paisley scarf, Hue red wool legwarmers, azure blue leather gloves, and small red agate earrings were the accessories for this look.

I decided to change things up bit today. It really wasn’t feeling like dress ‘down’ Friday – the sun was bright, the air was crisp…….so I decided to dress “UP”!!

Ms. Aikasha is wearing a Love Stitch slate blue tweed oversized wool blend cowl neck tunic sweater with exaggerated asymmetrical hem, YMI blue jeggings, The Limited brown leather/Sherpa vest, Patrizia Pepe grey suede down filled boots, and Adrienne Vittadini jet black hair calf handbag

Long azure blue leather gloves, sky blue glass bangle, large pearl and silver earrings and Tom Ford shades accessorized todays “dressed for winter even though it’s spring” ensemble. 

I fell in love with this sweater when I saw it and simply had to have it……..I’m still patting myself on the back J

Tip: Its a good time to make purchases for next winter - ALL the stores/sites are having terrific sales and clearances right now. I bought this Love Stitch sweater thinking "next year" - Who would've thought we'd still be experiencing 30 degree temperatures in the Spring?? It's fine with me though - a perfect excuse to wear this 'hot' number!

Hey there! It's been a while!! I had to take some time to 'handle my business'.........

Ms. Aikasha is wearing a Prada off-white down filled cropped jacket with oversized knit collar, Dana Buchman long black pencil skirt with one pocket, A&E black long sleeved cotton t-shirt, Manolo Blahnik teal suede pumps and Coach  gold leather limited edition tote.

  A Gucci gold leather belt, sheer black/brown silk scarf, Coach  black leather gloves and  gold hoop earrings accessorized the day's look

Note: I know it's been at least a month since my last post and going forward, the posts will be a bit sporadic as I'm focused in other areas.........but I assure you it won't take a month.......you will be hearing from me :)

Equestrian – that’s what today’s outfit 

puts me in mind of.

Ms. Aikasha is wearing a Michael Kors black down filled hooded vest, Moda International teal mohair blend turtleneck sweater, Motivi black pinstriped three button blazer, CSS  teal jeans, Calvin Klein shearling lined over-the-knee boots, and Cuore & Pelle black and blue leather handbag.

Tip: A down vest is a winter staple I depend on and highly recommend.....especially over a blazer or a suit. It's not confining like a coat can be, but it keeps you warm, thus serving its purpose.

My mother always says, “don’t buy something just because it’s cheap”. Well, shopping online has influenced me to do just that on occasion. Case in point? This little dress/top/whatever it is. I saw it and thought “…..hmmm, I can do something with that”. When it came in I sort of felt like, “arrrrgh!!” and because it was final sale, I couldn’t return it. So, this is what I came up with:

"Mama's got a brand new bag". I'd never heard of Cuore & Pelle handbags. They're handcrafted in Italy......I thought, "hmmmmmmm". I gave it a shot......I think I'm in love!!

Tip: I can only reiterate the wonderful impact of the "pop" of colour as seen here with the blue in the handbag.
Note: The Dex Clothing sage green 'grandfather' cardigan is my son's. I'm trying to figure out how I can keep it - maybe I'll get him something in exchange.

As you may know, the NY/NJ area is forecasted to have 12 – 20 inches of snow between today and tomorrow. Arrrrgh!! ‘thas a lotta snow”!! I left the office at 2:45pm – hence the daylight pictures.......for a change!

Ms. Aikasha is wearing a Vakko beige shearling jacket, YMI navy blue jeggings, Forte Cashmere navy blue cashmere turtleneck tunic sweater, Ranger tan shearling boots and Latico brown and beige leather bag. The iconic Kangol newsboy cap (turned backwards) tops off the outfit. Other accessories include a b.chyll light blue cashmere scarf, Replay Jeans tan leather belt, electric blue leather gloves, Michael Kors silver mirrored shades, and gold tone pendulum earrings.

Can you believe I completely forgot about this Vakko  shearling jacket? That's crazy!! It was hanging in the back of my closet. It's a nice change, right??

I love, Love, LOVE these Ranger shearling boots. They're warm and comfy, just like my UGG bedroom slippers, and they have a kitten heel so I can "anchor" myself with each step in the snow and still "hot step" with a little attitude. 

It may look like I'm a bit nutz, but I'm not............just sharing my laid back  'dress down' Friday look.

Tip: I don't recommend jeggins for the office - especially if you're much larger than a size "2" (I'm anything between size 4 to size 8 - go figure). However, between my  boss traveling, inclement weather, and needing to rush out of the house this morning, I excused myself :).

I went to the mall to return a few items this evening. I took advantage of the winter sales and picked up some things for my boys – I did quite well. Now is definitely the time to go shopping!
