Last Saturday, June 29th we attended an all WHITE PARTY in Jersey City New Jersey. I'm sure you can tell from the constant smiles on our faces, be had an absolute Blast!! Getting dressed up to going out is nice - but going out and everyone else is dressed up? it's even nicer!!   Next year, I'm sure we'll be there!!

GRADUATIONS / CELEBRATIONS

Last week was INSANELY busy!! There was an event every single day - my head is still Spinning!!

Accessories: These copper shoulder duster earrings are the exact same colour as the buttons on this suit, Torino Lamborghini cream sunglasses and a delicate gold and silver pendant (a gift from my babygirl Miss Alosha), tied this outfit together nicely

it's really subtle, but the black/zebra strip bangle picks up directly on the black/beige striped tank top. The red porcelain bangle was just an added touch of colour

I’ve been a bit remiss with posting. Granted I cut back the number of times per week I post, but really? It’s sometimes 10 – 14 days!

However, I have been taking pictures and have a bit of a back log……so bear with me as I inundate you with a bunch J

There’s a bit of a vintage flair here – it’s a bit reminiscent of  the “mod” ’60’s era. 

I’ve been told there’s a “throwback vibe” about me……..it’s not something I’m trying to do – I think it’s just me

I don’t buy or wear  vintage clothing, nor do I obsess over vintage cars or movies, but it seems my styling naturally leans toward the ‘60’s……..hmmmmm!

Sometimes I like to keep things just plain and simple: hardly any fuss, and very little frills. This black/white outfit is indicative of just that. 

Ms. Aikasha is wearing a Robert Rodriguez  white rayon/poly long sleeved woven and lace button down tunic, YMI  black spandex leggings with buttoned ankle detail, 

I look a bit 'spacey' - right? I had my tooth pulled.........the look on my face is a combination of pain, residuals of the valium / nerve gas, and my feeble attempt to camouflage the gaping space in my smile!!

I try not to use the terms ‘never’ and ‘always’, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that I don’t adhere to any particular style or standard.  Short, long, loose, tight, bright, dark, contemporary, dated, and any or all the aforementioned are explored in some form or fashion as I dress every day. When I’m asked why I bother to dress up “……it’s just work?!?” my response is “It’s Motivational”. The old adage “If you look good, you feel good” – it works for me.
